Absolute gem of a campsite! Plenty of room for tents of all sizes and you're not packed in like sardines. The owners can be seen cleaning and emptying bins around the site regularly. The facilities were absolutely spotless no matter what time you visited. Super clean site and plenty of water points & bins dotted about the site too. Seen some comments about the rude owner but he just doesn't stand for nonsense. We saw him tell off two parties, one for speeding through the campsite - "if you want to stay on site, slow down. There are kids playing" and another for trying to sneak on to the site which was fully booked. Both reasonable and fair. Plenty of folk up after 9pm chatting with no bother. Farmer will leave you to it unless you're being obnoxiously loud. Perfect for a quiet weekend away but if you're after a party or big get-together, probably not the place for you. Views were stunning and trains going by wasn't an issue at all. Back to basics camping at it's best.

Amazing place.. Just beautiful. We have been visiting Cragg Hill for a couple of years now & every stay has been lovely. The owners are great people & work hard to make sure the fields are mown & clean; the facilities are always clean, rubbish bins emptied regularly etc. The kids tend to spend most waking hours in the river when we are on site being free range & feral! No electric but that is what makes it special for us.. There are so many different bird songs in a morning. & a very bossy pheasant in the field behind the site!

Great campsite, very clean, quiet, good location, pubs within a mile and the train station to Settle, Ribblesdale etc a mile away. £18 a night. No electric, not a problem, just take a torch to the toilet 😊.
